TIPEC Photo shoot and calendar - Oct 17th

Post by Clive993 »

South central is organising a photo shoot kindly directed by Pierre Chan, one of our members who is in to all sorts of semi professional photography (no not that sort as far as I am aware!)

We will be holding this on Sunday am 17th October (if weather is grim we will re arrange) at a venue to be arranged somewhere not far off the A43 Brackley area. Ideally an airfield or quiet country retreat.

We are looking for a minumum of 12 cars and Pierre will be taking arty shots, moving shots (leaning out a 964 Cab) of all the cars there. The idea is we will be creating a 2011 calendar which will be available at a small cost. Each person at the shoot will get images sent to them electronically or if required a print again at a very small cost. I want to assure everyone that this is not a money making activity !!!!. You will get an image or several of your car as mentioned and we will be creating the calendar in any case, if you want one I imagine the cost will be purely to print it, I would guess about £10 ish. Same goes with prints, purely cost price of sorting it out. You DO NOT have to buy the calendar or prints, we just want to create something a little different with as many members cars as we can muster. THe calendar will purely TIPEC with images of all cars there on the day somehwere within it.

I imagine we will start the morning with a fry up somewhere and then move on. If you are interested please contact me at cllive.gosling@tipec.net That way I can keep a contact list up to date a lot easier in case we do need to re arrange.

We are always being asked to come up with events a little bit different, so hopefully this will encourage some last minute pre winter activity??

Cheers

Sounds like great fun, would someone be able to do a small write up for the magazine too?

I am sure if we get enough cars on the day then we can do a mini write up. however it would be better to let the pics do the talking given the nature of the day

IMPORTANT UPDATE

Pistonheads are holding one of their Sunday Services at the Porsche Experience 9am Sunday 17th. http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default ... ryId=22506 SOme of our members are attending this so it would appear sensible to try and combine. So here are two options

1. Meet at the PH event.

-You will need to log in or register on PH / go to calendars / Oct 17th SUnday Service / Add your name to the list
- Only about 50 spaces left so be quick
- Move off at about 11 to 11.30 for the photo bit, providing we get enough interest

2. Join later in the am for whatever reason

- I will publish where we are meeting up and then be there !!! Simples.

Apologies for slight change of plan, bit its almost impossible to work out who else is doing what, where and when in advance, so a bit of flex is needed.

Let me know what you plan to do so I can keep a track by emailing me.

Nice. Would be a lovely advert for the calendar too. Or perhaps a front cover shot? So many options. I wish we were down there, so many more events and meets going on than up here!

All 700 PH spaces have now gone.

Looks like a good mix of motors, should be a good event.
Cheers

700 cars is a LOT of cars, even for silvertstone! i assume the PEC are going to be using all thier track space to park us?
if we have to be able to "escape" to get to the photo shoot, we should bear this in mind before being triple parked in the corner of a northants field, without te prospect ogf getting out until monday morning!!

Hi All,

For the ones going to the Pi55 heads at Silverstone on Sunday, how about meeting up just outside Silverstone, there use to be a layby just on the northern edge of the village? is it still there Rich? or Budies on the southbound A43 at Towcester.
Cheers
