Very Sticky Calipers

Post by JG911 »

Hello Everyone.

Got another problem now with the 911 sticky calipers and i mean sticky we took 1 off last weekend though we would just move the piston in and out with working the brake pedel came out ok but would not go in.

So can anyone recommend a good place to get them done or is it easy job for for myself to do

All comments welcome :bounce:

They sound like there fu@ked, they corrode like mad with age.
The alloy expands and stop the pads moveing.
All my calipers are on there way out, stripped them and rebuilt them, but thats more of a temp solution than a cure.
Iam lookin at sourcin a set of a newer porsche, but cash flow prevents at the mo.

Any decent fluid will do DOT4 or later. Some use ATE super blue as it is obvious when all the old carp is out.
Did you try cracking the bleed nipple when you pushed the piston in? It maybe a knackered hose acting as a one way valve.

Ate blue is the only option.
Allmost impossible to boil, never will you have brake fade again.

New calipers, lines and fluid, your car will stop on a penny :D
