Hi,
The spoiler on my 1990 964 isn't coming up automatically but will work on the manual switch.
Does anyone recommend what is likely to be the fault, the control unit under the seat or the speed sensor on the transmission?
Cheers,
Iain

I would have thought the manual switch works via the controller so I would guess the speed sensor.

Re: 964 Rear Spoiler Not working correctly
It's most likely one of the limit switches that's on the gear mechanism to the left hand side of the spoiler. One is to stop the motor on wind down while the other does the same on windup. Check that the sw has been operated in the down position, if not disconnect the drive gear and set the spoiler to the closed position and reconnect the drive cable, that should do the trick. Clean and lightly lubricate the drive mechanism and it should be OK for another year or so.
