56 Cayman Key

Post by Stevebromley »

I need some help working out what to do about my keys, one has now stopped working all together after being pushed to many times in my pocket, other than get a Man bag to put them i don't have another answer. Are these new gen keys any better that you can get online where you swap all the insides around? Also fed up of visiting people / places and coming back to the car to find the boot and bonnet popped open and both the windows down! My fiancée is getting sick of carrying my car keys around in her handbag when we go any where. It also makes me feel like a small kid, can't be trusted with the keys!!!

I swapped both Boxster keys over to the cheap eBay shells of the later design.

Easy, except for swapping the transponder, I cut round it with a multi tool , then cleaned it up to fit into new shell.

Great improvement and both still working fine 12 months later :)
