TIPEC 20th Celebration Trip to Laon in France

2013 will be TIPECs 20th Birthday & we are booking quite a few events on a National level.
The first of these that I’ll be coordinating is a return to Laon. Places are limited!

This is a fantastic event where the whole town gets involved over the weekend & culminating in a tour of the town on Sunday where they close the roads off.

I have block booked the last 17 rooms at the Ibis in Laon.
I’ve attached the details of this. The dates are 17-20th May 2013 the cost is £215 pp.
You can book by phone or by E Mail, but it is important that when people book they use the ref: Jim Hearnden TIPEC otherwise they’ll end up elsewhere. Can you ping me a mail if your coming so I can track numbers please.
The Ibis is OK I’ve stayed here before & it is in town.

There is no charge for booking a place, charges are due in November

I've had a look at the 2012 event it does look like a great opportunity to see some pretty rare car's up close and the scenery/architecture around the town looks fantastic. Is there any issue in taking a modern day car?

No issue with the modern Porsche's, they cheered everything that went past.

It is a great weekend the whole town just turns out in their 1,000s to cheer the cars. When you do the tour of the country on the Saturday with the roadbook little villages were out with chairs & tables having street parties to watch the cars.

Here are a few to show some idea of what it was about! There were 760 invited cars there plus nearly 100 classic bikes!
There is just about every shape & flavour of car imaginable, from most of Europe.

FYI the price including Ibis Hotel is £219 pp not £215 pp. No great difference but so you are aware.
