In praise of the 993

Post by marc.earl@db.com »

I have now had my LHD 94model 993 for around a month, I also have a 996 GT2 and a Boxster S and previously had a 996 C4. I must say i just love driving the 993, it is a perfect blend of speed handling, character and feedback that really makes it delightful to drive.

The slightly agricultural gear change, and old fashioned interior, now seem to simply make me like it more rather than detract from the experience.

I have always liked the shape but it grows on me daily and my 14 and 11yr olds fit in nicely alongside me and also love the car. In fact i like it so much i think i will swap my boxster for a 993 Cab !

Definitely an air cooled convert !

Yes, and with the price of petrol, i might have to sell one of the children to afford it. Still small price to pay eh !
