Front disc Brake sizes on 3.0 and 3.2

Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help! My haynes manual is useless!!!!!

Whats the difference between 3.0 SC and 3.2 Carrera front discs?

I have seen many suppliers who seems to say they are the same and others who list different discs and prices for pre and post 1984 (the changeover year).

Can anyone help? I am about to embark on a restoring the front suspension of my 3.2 and have been offerered the whole front setup from a 3.0 sc which would make the job a lot easier.

A ha!

Think I found the answer, the 3.2 has discs that are 3mm thicker than the 3.2sc and calipers to compensate for the extra thickness!

Anybody confirm this?
