Here's the few snaps that Erika took. She was particularly in love with Jo's Cayman

Firstly
It was a great day out

Don't like to be critical because i enjoyed it but as comments are requested, i'll give my observations

the only downer this year was that i didn't have my own Porsche :(

my main gripe from last year was the lack of catering and although this year we took a picnic, the outdoor catering looked and smelt really good. 3.50 for a decent burger at these events is a good price too

weather- for once Gaydon's ever present winds were very welcome

Hollywood heroes or whatever they were called - Stormtroopers were great, not sure the others were worth the bother
think we need a full size costume of our mascot "Dipstick" kids would love it (R.O's could take it in turn) :D

Parking - we were made to park so close we couldn't open the doors. ended up moving the car.
I personally prefer parking by model but it probably isn't practical
how about 3 sections - aircooled - watercooled front engine - watercooled rear engine

regional parking ?
i think it takes cars away from the main display
maybe regions could just have their gazebo's up with a picnic area in front for members to meet up.

for everyone involved in organising the show, well done and keep up the good work !

The one thing I've found both years is that parking by region or model is all very well, until the track laps begin. Then you have cars shuffling about all afternoon, early leavers and late arrivers all adding to the mix. Any semblance of order is quickly gone.

Have you seen the American guys who do conversion kits to fit Subaru WRX engines to 914s? They’re amazing.

You know me too well. I wish I had bought one of these 914s years ago...but I bought myself a Scimitar SS1 instead.

Some say 914s are ugly, but I love the look of them.

Yeah, I've seen their site. I'm sure there's a post about them on this site somewhere that I've posted before?

Here's some more photo's from the show. (Including another nice 914  )

A bit late i know but wanted to say what a great day we had (me, misses & young'un). Congrats to the organisers on a great event, and who ever it was you sacrificed to the sun gods, it was worth it.

Loved the relaxed feel to the event and thought the band walking around were a great idea and that the Hollywood characters were and interesting twist. There was more for my youngest to do this year than last year too and she was kept well entertained.

Also had a stint on track which was pretty cool, even if the 993 did display a few odd handling characteristics as i got to 125 (time for a proper geo set up me thinks).

On the whole a great day out with plenty to do (and eat).

Keep up the good work,
FG

*Anyone catch the name of the company taking photos on track and if the have a web site??
