My first Porsche was a 944 LUX 2.5. Great car but I always wanted a 911. After 9 months of ownership of the '44 I bought a 964C2. V good overall condition with full service history and an A4 folder full of invoices going back to the 2nd owner. I love this car but as already mentioned it can be lively in the wet, no electronics to help you out here. The servicing bills for a 964 are probably one of the highest of any 911 that is a standard car, 12K from Porsche and your looking at £1400.
993s on the other hand have a bigger brain and aren't so lively in the wet but you still don't want to take the p155 with it. The servicing costs are cheaper than a 964 and the price of 993 is coming down as well, you can get them starting at around 20K.
I insure my car on a classic insurance, limited in mileage to 10k a year, this costs me £475.
Interested in a 964 but not sure what to look for

sounds sensible , given your age, even more sensible would be to buy a 993, when you come to the marketJon944S2 wrote:Yes, well £652 cheaper to be precise lol, I'm only a mere youngster at 19 and I've now decided to put buying a 964 on hold for a year or so, then hopefully I can insure both cars rather than one or the other. I don't want to get rid of my car I love it too much, sorry for that peoples.
