Door waterleak 987 Boxster

Post by GeoffT987 »

I have discovered the carpet on the bottom edge of the door panel is very wet, after some web searching i followed the advice given for removing the panel until i got to the stage were you pull the panel starting at the bottom away from the door itself. After many finger trapping attempts and risking damaging the panel it would not move. Any advice appreciated before my sand coloured upholstry turns green.

I'd pm W33mud. He had his off a few weeks ago? ( link ) I don't think the 987 will be that different from the 996? Maybe?

Sorry Geoff, I've never had the panel off my 996 so I'm not sure? You might have to get one of these, they're only about £3 on eBay. Then try and put it back with new fastners like these?. Depends how brave you are? Someone might be along soon who's done it before. I hope you get it off without damaging it. :D
