I have a P plate 993 which hasn't given any trouble during the 3 years I have owned it. However when I jumped in the other day the clutch just went straight to the floor. Has anyone suffered a similar experience? I suspect its an hydraulic problem not a mechanical one but not with any degree of certainty.
Any pointers gratefully received
Ps, havn't visited for ages cos I lost my login details Doh!

Re: 993 Clutch
Have you checked out the hydraulics yet? if not try this -
Check fluid level in reservoir and top up if necessary.
Check slave cylinder for leaks; think this is better done by safely raising the car and checking from underside. This is what’s most likely to be the cause of the failure.
Check the master cylinder from inside the car; lift the carpets etc so you can see the rod actuator and the master cylinder, again check for leaking fluid.
Hope this helps.
