What happened to the "Northern Show" idea?

There seemed to be fewer TIPEC cars this time than last :?

It was never mentioned at any Scottish monthly meetings. The guys arranged a weekend away in the Lake District.

Hi,

I was there but parked in the Scooby section for some reason :? .

I though we had a reasonable turn out of Porsche's though. Maybe CITP is getting a bit boring for some of our club members now. I'm sure there's members who have been several times now and maybe want to do something different?

Nice to see the organiser Chris Crossley has joined the Porsche driving expereince with a Boxster.

I know that there were plenty of Porsches there, point is it was supposed to be the TIPEC Northern Show and then it just kind of fizzled out to being just another car show. Even the SYNN region didn't have their gazebo.

I was booked to go and was intending to bring a gazebo, flagpole kettle, stoves etc etc. I had spoken with Andy (NW Region) and he too was planning to bring some stuff along.

Unfortunately the Jag was leaking brake fluid all over the place on the way back from London the night before and I simply couldn't start the 928 so I was stranded with no way to get to Harewood.

I would really like to make this event a meet up for the Northern regions and barring my car problems I think we would have begun to get some momentum this year. Lets make it a firm event in all the Northern region calendars for 2011 and make it happen next year.

Apologies for letting the side down :(
