After a great deal of thought, I considered that I should really offer to pay for the evening, as it was originally my idea as a welcome back home for you - and I really think I should make the effort to dig deep very deep into my pocket and pay.........

but then I have luckily just come to my senses and realised that might not be such a good idea - and any way I don't have any pockets
