Are the gatherings on the A46 still happening?

I went along to the new location The Bently Hotel (A46 Roundabout on Ring Road South of Lincoln) on Sun 9th May to see the latest state of play (its only 5 mins from my house).
I found myself the only one there going as a Tipec member, although 2 out of the 10 or so do belong to both clubs. I did meet Guy ? who used to be RO for PCGB and was his 1st visit after a long period away.
There was no one else I knew and the main topic was the Woulds rally -> PCGB members only.
The next meeting is Sun 13 June 11 am which I may attend although probably only to give away my PCGB Porsche Post Magazines.

A very interesting post. I was under the impression that TIPEC met at the formerly named 'Halfway House (?)' on the A46 near RAF Swinderby. Certainly 'All Torque' still mentions that as the TIPEC venue.

When did it all change?

I have been told that PCGB meets at Bentley's Hotel as I was contacted by the Wolds Rally organizer to tell me about the Rally. Unfortunately, as a non PCGB member, I am unable to compete (unless I renew my very lapsed membership). I understand that there is a possibility of joint TIPEC/PCGB event in the future.

As a matter of interest, who is the TIPEC RO at the moment?

Went down to Swinderby this morning for the meet, no one there.
I was as previously said going along to talk to TIPEC members prior to joining the club.

Well if nothing else the total cock that was supposed to be a meet has made my mind up, I am certainly not going to be wasting 40 quid and my time with a club that is incapable of setting up even a basic Sunday meet.

Apologies Simon, if I had seen this thread earlier in the day I would have been able to confirm that the venue had changed.

Rod's information was correct and if someone had tols us that PCGB had changed the venue we would have updated the details.

Clearly the situation with the two clubs sharing a meeting is not working and we need our own arrangements.

Gordon Collins has offered to pull things together and when we have updated the membership following the show last weekend he will be in touch to see how we can move things forward.
