How low is too low?

Post by ThreeTwo »

Firstly good to see this forum up and running - thanks to all those who put the time and effort into developing it.

A good few months ago I parked my Carrera next to Rich Simpsons and I saw his car was lower than mine and looked alot better - so mine had to go down.

Having a son who is a Porsche tech means he does all the work on my car so I asked him to lower mine. Any of you who know Mike and have seen his Bugs will know he likes them slammed - so I had to warn him and even threaten him not to go too far with mine!

I asked for 15-20mm. He went 45mm!! Have to say he did a proper job and has access to all the equipment to do the job. The car handles fabulously and I think it looks fab - what do you lot think?
(I know I posted this on IB a while back but thought I'd see what the response is from THE club)

He's sold it and bought a targa, which is even lower.

SSE's are on the Turbo suspension and 16" wheels so they are a bit lower as standard.

Yes the Targa is really too low - but it was set up as a fast road / track car by Tuthills with Turbo track rods. Heights are 138mm front and 237mm rear. Height is definately going up soon before it hits a speed bump!

And yes I have successfully managed to post a pic at last :D
