It was a good show but appalling to get into and out.
It took an hour to travel the last/first mile both on entrance and exit.
My GTS burned the fuel for 50 miles of driving range during those 2 miles.
The NE members were suprised that that SY had a stand at the show.
We could really do with an overall events list so members could see what was going on at sister regions.
Great stand SY region!
Did your Alpina win this year Frenchy?

The SYNN region had a stand at the show last year, so no real surprise that they were there this year.

The intention was only for the NE region to attend as visitors. No-one ever mentioned displaying our cars, or expressed any interest in so doing.

Hi,

I enjoyed the run out with the members from the NE, sorry we didn't have chance to have more of a chat. Weather was very kind ( especially as the forecast was not so good ) I managed to travel there & back with the roof down ( must be a first this year )
I thought the show was really good & both me & my son Jacob enjoyed it.
Thanks to Simon (RO) for organising it.

I have to agree the access both into & out of the venue was horrendous.
There should surely have been police directing traffic into the grounds & it would have helped if the parking attendants had been directing the traffic trying to leave instead of standing around in hi-vis jackets doing nothing

My 3.2 air cooled engine certainly didn't like queuing in the traffic ( temp gauge was getting quite high ) but at least it uses a bit less fuel than a 928
