Hi All
Joined today as I am considering the purchase of a Boxter 2.7. Any comments/advice would be welcomed particularly as this will be my first venture away from BMW/Mercedes.

Thinking a max of around £13K so very interested in what you all think.

Comment welcomed..... :)

Hi Mike -

Welcome to TIPEC and the forum. For £13k, you'll get a very good model in the current climate. TBH, shop around and get a 3.2S for the same amount. Get as new a model as you can afford, and take it from me - they are superb to drive.

Where in the country are you? You can do worse than to poll up to your local TIPEC meeting, test the water, and ask a few questions. Wherever you are, you'll be made to feel welcome.

Graham Hi
Many thanks for the prompt response. Based in North Kent so more than happy to do as you have suggested and find a local group to talk to before diving in! My main concern was cost of servicing and whether golf clubs would fit in the boot - daft I know but might be tricky. Have overcome the concern about if I could actually sit comfortably in one at 6'.1"
Regards
Mike

I am 6' and have no difficulty. Another of our members has a Boxster S, and he is taller than me (dunna, say about 6'2"??).

As for the golf club criteria - definitely not daft. I have to say that because it was probably the most important criteria I had  . Trust me - they will fit in, a full set in the back boot, with trolley in the front.
Servicing? I have mine done at the local specialists, and it costs in the region of £175 for a service.

North Kent? Try this link, as it will give you more details regarding your most local TIPEC region -http://www.tipec.net/region_southeastlondon.php - they meet in Sevenoaks and I know Jim, their RO, is very helpful. He will be on here soon.
