Dashboard lights 993

Post by Clive993 »

I noticed the other day that the tacho lights dont work (all the others do!) Does anyone know how easy they are to change and how to do it. I have read somewhere you just pull out the dial to reveal the lights - surely it cant be that easy, these things never are!

You do just pull the clock out.
Its only held in with a rubber gasket.
You might need to gently lever it out, maybe use a little lube  , no honestly a bit of lube will help.

Go steady with the lube (KY Gel) or everybody will be talking about you ! But yes all you need to do is pull the clock out as all the other posts have said. I used a wooden spatula to help lever the clock part way out until you can get a good grip on it with your hands. It pays to lubricate the rubber gasket when you replace the clock. regards - Mark
