has anybody out there changed spoiler drive worm gearbox bearing if so how hard was it

hi mate, its mega easy to change the worm drive bearing. the original one isnt a sealed bearing but i would advise you replace it with a sealed one, i think mine was about £3.50 from a bearing shop. just remove the motor and use a stanly blade to cut round the seam where its been heat welded together. this is the only hard bit coz if you slip with the knife you will cut your hand off! so be carefull. when it comes apart its really simple inside and pritty self explanitary. i super glued the case back together and it worked fine but after a couple of weeks it came apart so i re-glued it and went round the join with my soldering iron and melted the plastic and its been perfectly smooth and quiet for over a year. if you do a google search thers instructions on how to do it with photos. its really easy and saves you about £120.
