Nope.
But if you want your car transformed, talk to Wayne Schofield at Chipswizards in Rochdale and have your car re-mapped.
With a Dansk exhaust and Wayne's magic, my car went from stock c.220 to 255bhp and torque of 231 lb/ft.

How much did he charge you for the chip/re-map ?

Interesting. Might give him a ring for mine. Still got a flat spot at 2000 thats a pain.

He tunes Andrew Sweetenham's race cars as well, so there's not that much he doesn't know about 944's either.
For my 911, the whole re-map process took about 3-4 hours, then a new chip is burned with the new configuration and the origianal chip is replaced.
Its not just the power that benefits, its the driveabiliy and far better torque available.
It might be a long drive north to Rochdale but its worth it!

About £350, but you'd need to get a quote off Wayne.

Rochdale is about 20 minutes from me! Over the tops. £350 is very good value for a remap! I was looking at getting a maxtronic to replace the chip & map it myself with a laptop. It has the advantage of allowing dual maps so can run super unleaded for a few more horses. But the price of it now I would probably never do it! Will ring him tommorrow

Thanks

Gave him a ring. Basically there's little point in chipping any of the older cars as the come with a re-writeable EPROM. So for a little more you can have a proper re-map done using your original chip. He can change idle, rev limit, timing & mixture. All for £350. Since this will take best part of a morning on the dyno this is excellent value. Hope to do it to mine soon & dump the flat spot! Will also be interesting to compare power & torque to the graphs I have from Rick Woods. It's also very handy!

Just got the car back from the bodyshop

Looks the business!

i have 277bhp with a Ruf chip...
my uncle has a 3.2, he has just modified the standard ECU to allow dual maps, he can switch between a standard map, and the performance map the car originally came with when i sold it to him, its a very useful function and works a treat...

It was raining here yesterday. Also the bits not painted now need cutting & waxing to blend in better. I will paint the rest of it next year as funds allow. (Keeps the accountant happy!) Also need to take the wheels off & clean & wax the hubs again. Since I wasn't sure how far to go with it or were they would be blending it in. It hasn't been waxed for 6 months. Will post some pics when I get caught up with it!
