My man the "curlster" can do anyting you want!
Hes built sum mad things, a hiyabussa westy with padel shift! 0-100 4 sec!!!

I ignored a small bubble o rust for years, and got a treat. A 2" hole in the rear q.
Brill.

Anyway iam useing this rust as an excuse to sort the old flash, she will look like new.
Its taken me days to strip the pork, ive saved hundreds off the paint bill my doin the strip and rebuild myself.
And ill use all new bolts and clips, seals in the rebuild, newish :)

A pic after the big strip.

Cost.
Well as yet i havent 100% decided.
Theres 2 options, the cheap option, ste a 1 man band painter from down the road.
Or option 2 "northwest bodyrepairs".
Option 1 is £300, :D
Option 2 is £600-1000 :)

Iam goin at the mo with option 1, cheap and if it looks crap i wont pay him :D .

Option 1 is without the roof bein painted.
Option 2 is whole car.

Well you could take option 1 and put a nice black 70's vinyl roof on :D

Whereabouts in Cheshire are you? Only a bloke called Steve in Marple resprayed my son's Mini and it was the worst paint job ever.

I,ve just been gettin quotes for my 964 last week at 3 different places. Thers some rust on the scuttle and pass wing above bumper. First price was £1200 to £1500 Second was £2600 and third was £2250. All these prices didnt include the roof and i have to strip her myself. The paint ect is supposed to cost £500 to £600, so £300 is crazy cheap.
By the way me and wor kids had work done off the guy who quoted the cheapest price and he's excelent so i am going to go with him.

As i work in the motortrade, and bodyshops allmost every day i get allmost staff prices.
So i do get paint cheap, but £600 for the paint!
Is that just to buy a tin of color paint?

As far as iam aware you buy the paint in its base comps and mix yourself, cost is low.

As far as prices go i suppose its about time they spend on your car, my mate at northwest motorbodys is restoring a ferrari, and thats got a 20k bill.

Wait and see?

I agree that £500 - £600 for paint and materials is hard to comprehend, but thats wot all three quoted so cant realy do owt about it really. I think mine will need a bit more body work than yours, the scuttle has some bubbles of rust and the pass wing has rust bubbles wher it meets the bumper. Also under the lights has been painted befor so god knows wot could be under there. Will post pics of my resto job soon.
