Looks OK, pictures are crap as are most E Bay car sales. No details of interior or pics... hmmmm hiding something. Hardly a mainstream area so that'll go against it. History sounds kosher, would be worth a call to the relevant OPC.

Its only got hour to go so cant go to the OPC. Brakes not been done in last 3 years - he said he gave pads a clean up when he first got it and while there are a few scores on discs it passed mot on july 13th.
Similar cars going for £8kish without the hardtop on autotrader/pistonheads

went for £7805
Was going to think about it if it stayed under £7500

All looked a bit strange at the end. Bid came in the last minute for 10200 and it said reserve not met - now says winning bid 7805......

If you buy a car off ebay go & look at it first. Pay for a mechanical inspection even. No such thing as a cheap Porsche. Best way to buy from a club member who's selling for good reason & has spent many times it's value on it. That works out the cheapest even though your paying a bit over the odds. Buying these cars isn't a problem. Running them can be.

I know that the money exchange has been done @ Brian Millars before, after Brian has looked at the car for you. This would put your mind a ease, and if it is a members car there is a chance Brian will know it. I know it is a long way from Edinburgh to your house, but the drive home would be great ( Langwang and A70 ).

Perfectly OK. Obviously high reserve set, bid cancelled for one reason & second time around for 7805. Cars are a PITA on E Bay, have sold loads but cars always attract the wally brigade for some reason.

There is a possible twist to the ending to this
Basically its a dealer who has purchased and is refusing to pay any deposit. So it might be back up for sale

The bidder has agreed to back out, so car now offered to myself.
Im off to see it on weds - spoke with the OPC who are servicing it and apart from airbag warning light there is some minor scoring on front discs. The brakes were only advisory on MOT which was done last week.
So sounds like I may be a Boxster owner later this week
