Well it was only up there for a few minutes and I've already been offered £1 for it, so that's blown your theory out of the water.
I think it could reach 2 maybe even £3 !!
Cheers
Ben

Hi
I am not saying it wont sell....I am saying that nobody who knows anything about what happens to aluminum when its left for years (corrosion) would ever fit it....
Don`t forget that on a 928, if the pump goes , you are looking at a lunched engine
All the best Brett

The 928 water pump is not made out of aluminium - its cast aluminium silicon alloy. A whole different animal.
Pure aluminium would corrode. Cast aluminium silicon alloy is highly resistant to corrosion, that's way they use it.
There is zero corrosion on the pump and zero play in the spindle.
If the replacement pump I bought wasn't non returnable I would have been very happy for it to of gone back on the car and saved myself the £520.
Cheers
Ben

Hi Ben
I was a mechanic for too many years to EVER fit a used pump, its just not worth the risk when if the customers car throws a belt, my company (me) would have had to pay for a new engine...
For your own car , thats up to you, but not for me thanks...
It is probably perfectly ok.....but thats "probably"...
All the best Brett
