I just thought I'd share this with you - I made enquiries with Porsche Byfleet (porschebyfleet.co.uk) about their rates for older cars. I got the following reply today (15-Dec):

Hourly rate for a 964 is between £65 - £70 depending on the scale of the repairs required, Service prices are as follows
6000 service £290.00
12000 service £390.00
Major service inc plugs and tappets £720.00
all inc vat

This compares quite favourably with most independents in the south - common prices are £350+VAT for the 12,000m and around £700+VAT for the 24,000m one, with £55+VAT to £70+VAT hourly labour rate.

I have used this company for three years since moving south..they used to be in Godalming. A fair price on the work they do. I deal with Tim and David, true Porsche gentlemen that know their stuff..and their customers.
