V.S.C.C.Donington sat 31May sun 1st June

This has been a September event in the last four years that I have attended but this year is on the dates above.This is an international event and will include racing from every decade since racing began! The vscc are keen to have a Porsche prescence and last year was Tipecs first attendance which I hope to repeat this year. We saw ten Porsches on the Sunday last year in our own roped off parking area in which we erected the club gazebo! It was a really great day of racing and paddock access was free as well with many other car clubs displaying too.Full details of the event and ticket prices will be released by the vscc soon.There will be a discount for club members. As soon as I get the details from the vscc I will post them here so pencil this date into your diaries and watch this space!!

We searched for this event on the Donnington website when we put our 2008 events schedule together but there were no details

I think its safe to say that Central Region will attend on the sunday

We had a great day out last year and you can get up close and personal with the cars in the pit area. We also had a perfect spot to park up and watch the racing. Great day out and not to be missed

You ll find the actual dates on VSCC website but details only released 3 months before event so probably in the next week or two.Yes Paul I thought that was a good spot and will ask for the same place again! Glad to hear you guys are interested and look forward to seeing you again! I did read a while ago in Autosport that one of those Mercs would be racing this time.Fingers crossed!! John.

I think East Mids are already commited to another event on the Sunday but will be there on Saturday, lot of interest at the last SYNN meeting so we should have bodies there on both days

it was synn group who organised this event last year and will again this year. I was going to go on the Sunday only but if there is enough interest in both days I will be there! I think there is some camping facility at Donington so I will find out about that and let you know. One things for certain___ its a long walk to the nearest pub!!!

Anyone interested in hotel accommodation should look at Donington Park Liesure Ltds own website at http://www.donington-park.co.uk where they have a long list of nearby hotels with contact numbers,or phone General Enquiries on 01332 810 048. As regards camping,there is no charge for camping just outside the circuit but thats because there are no showers/toilets.However,next to the paddock is Donington Park Farmhouse Hotel Tel:01332 862409 which has its own campsite with showers/toilets childrens play area and a bar!! Charges are average sized tents and caravans £10 large £16 normal sized motorhomes £15 Large American types £20,there is also a charge of £2 per person. They accept debit/credit card payments and say that it is advisable to book.
