Opie Oils are very good at recommending what’d be right for your car. You could try emailing or phoning them.

I thought I'd have heard of 3.2s running 10/40 Magnatec? 5/40 Semi synth I'd have thought more than adequate, it would be far better than it would have had when it was new.

To the best of my knowledge Mobil 1 came out as a 5/20 fully synthetic in 1974

It was later changed and according to Mobil's own web site approved by Porsche in 2002

I use Castrol Magnatec 10/40 ( see Jim's comment) on my 993 having changed from Castrol 1, as have a few other 993 owners

Recommended by my Independant who has been a Porsche trained mechanic for over 20 years

After all that Shell do a 5w 40 fully called Shell Ultra I think a fully would be better although it is an older car now plenty of miles 60k+

think this will be ok seemed to go alright after the service. :alien:
also if any one can let me know when the monthly meeting in Kent is thought the area was Crown Point pub near Seal is it ok just to turn up.
What do they get up to?

thanks

Shell should be good I ran that in an Alfa & it significantly lowered the oil consumption.

Yes of course you are welcome to turn up at a SELNK meetings. It is the first Friday of the month. next meet is 5th June. We normally kick off at around 19:30 & you're more than welcome.
