Flat Wiper Blades

Post by iainwarner »

Hi,

The front wipers on my 964 are not the best, even with new blades. They dont make decent contact with the glass across the entire length of the blade.

I thought about getting some of the replacement flat blades such as these:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0333933765

They claim to make much better contact with the glass all the way along, the theory looks sounds from the design and photos.

Anyone tried them? Are they any good?

Cheers
Iain

Yup bought 2 for the Jag & they didn't bloody fit! The jag uses an integrated washer system which fouled the wiper!
Put one on the drivers side of the 944 (the other is too long) & it works well.
The seller Alan at Aceparts is a good guy & a 996 driver

Great, I think I'll give it a go, they are not expensive and I brought some bulbs from them before and the service was great.

Thanks,

I use them on my 944—they’re fantastic. An improvement over the standard wipers and also a hell of a lot quieter.

The 964 is known for its hopeless wiper blades The cure is to fit the wiper "arms" that are the later double sprung ones that hold the wiper more firmly on the screen
I have been meaning to do this for ages
I think berlyn services do them 01271 866818

That sounds like a very sensible approach.
