Boxster Laquer Peeling

Hi there

Woah - haven't posted on the forum for some time. I have a 987.1 3.4S in Meteor Grey. She's in tiptop condition but recently I noticed that there is a patch on the front bumper just under the left headlight where it appears the laquer (the shiny stuff) is peeling, leaving a nasty looking patch.

Has anyone else had this sort of issue and if so how have you handled it? Would the entire bumper need to be resprayed?

Any advice appreciated.

Many thanks
Chris

Chris, just spotted this. ON my Boxster the lacquer peeled on the rear PU. According to the paintshop it was poor paint quality, his actual comment was probably a "Smart" repair. There were lots of rude words mixed in with it! :D
No fix for peeling lacquer, especially on metallic colours. As by the time you've sanded the lacquer off you've damaged the paint. So repaint time.
