Individual Key Settings

Post by Nate »

Hi all,

I have a recently acquired Cayman 987.2, which I am absolutely love.

The car came with two keys. With one key, the car auto locks itself when you drive away and the other key it doesn't.

Is there a way to alter these settings in the PCM? I can't seem to find any method so far.

Thanks in advance

Hi Nate,

I asked a mate of mine who has a 987.2 and he said that somewhere in the PCM you can set different profiles for each key and it will be there where you can set the locking characteristics. I can't try it myself but hopefully this will point you in the right direction?

Hi Nate,

A further update for you - after my friend has tested it on his own car.

Here’s the instructions for setting the locking…..

With ignition on, Info, Option, Individual Memory, Locking (and others), Autolock, After driveaway - you need to do this with each of the keys.

Hope that helps - good luck!

Regards,

Tony
