Interior trim colours - what a polava

I’m trying to work out what the trim colours are in my 928, which you’d think would be easy but I’m really struggling!

From the ‘Vehicle Identification’ section in the service book, which matches the sticker under the carpet in the boot, my ‘Paint code / interior trim’ colours are L347 NM. I can get the external paint colour - L347, but can I work out what ‘NM’ was? Not at all! I’ve found a few options/colours lists but NM isn’t listed, so I’m wondering if someone can help.

Where does one go to decode a trim code of NM?

Hoping someone can help! Thanks :)

As far as I know, the interior trim colours were encrypted on the build stickers (not exterior paint code though), so there's no definitive list. A guy has decoded them for 968, and apparently some codes are shared with 928s same MY.

But if I'm wrong and you manage to crack the code, please let us know!

Easiest way is to simply ring your dealer and ask them to run the vin.

Mine came up with very specific interior options, for example it explained that I had light grey seats and classic grey carpets plus more...

What colour is your interior ?

It would seem from reading around, that the 928 follows the same as the 968 with 2 letters, unfortunately NM is not in this list

Yes, strange eh? I’ve emailed the local Porsche dealer, so will update once I’ve heard back :)

Update: local dealer doesn't seem able to (or want to) help. I've emailed Porsche GB to see if they can help instead...

My OPC were quite helpful and sent me the below although I have spent an untold amount of money with them over the years:

It's worth asking on Rennlist, there are loads of true 928 nerds on there :D

You could try Dan at east London Porsche, he is always very helpful with transaxle cars

I've heard back from Porsche GB, their answer is that trim code NM is:

Linen/Marine Blue Leatherette with Linen Leather Inlays

So does that mean that the seats are leatherette rather than leather?

that would seem to be the case, yes

No it means the seat faces are 100% leather but the backs (rear of the front seats) are leatherette. And most likely all of the interior finishes are leatherette (rear quarter trims, door cards etc) except for the little rectangular inserts on the door cards which will be leather.

Hope this helps :)
