Replacement key circuit board

I've managed to get my spare key for my 2001 986 chewed by my mutt and now the circuit board with the microswitches on it is a bit, err, broken. I have the primary key intact still, and have the metal part of my spare key. What's the best way of getting a replacement for my spare? Is it a trip to the dealership?

its not shockingly expensive, just had a key done for our Volvo XC60, one got lost no idea how,
key electronics £198 inc programing, new key blade precut by factory £75.00 + VAT.
this is how they make all the money, £5 worth of electronic and £2 worth of key blade and 5 mins to program, they didn't even need the car.

I had a complete spare key (blade & fob then programmed to car) done by Revolution Porsche in Leeds for around £160 so its worth giving a few of the indies close to you a call. Porsche Reading quoted me £324!!!

Keys In The Post are good for blades. If you only have 1 key, I can recommend these guys. Just take a picture of your key and they will send you a new one for a fraction of the price from Porsche.
Buy the fob from them and get an Indie to program it.
