Early Boxster issues?

Hi guys, need a quick schooling on early Boxster issues to be aware of.
The first potential donor I looked at was NOT the car described in the ad ! Fortunately I only traveled 20 miles to see it. Suitable comments made to seller.
I would like Auto - my partner wants Spanish. probably end up with one of each at some stage, but this is for POC only.
I will be aware of the obvious things - been round speciality cars all of my adult working life.
