I am looking at buying a set of wheels for my 964 and unfortunately Speedlines are out of my budget.

2 wheels so far are coming out tops, the Veloce 3.6 one piece at £980

http://www.velocewheels.com/veloce36/

And the RH Split Rims at about £2300

Does anyone have any recommendations or a good second hand set for sale?

Thanks

What are the weights of each wheel?

I had a set of 17 inch RH 3 part split rims on one of my Porsche, in fact I still have them I think! They were quite light weight, never suffered a buckled rear (which can happen to the some of the after market 9J rears) The only thing I did not like is that they Lacquer the polished rims (or used to).. So I think if I bought another set the first thing I would do is have the rims split and the outer polished rims stripped, polished and clear anodised.. Not quite as bling, but as with the original Fuch's wheels will last forever with the right care.. Lacquered rims tend to go milky as soon as you get one stone chip.

How much are genuine speedlines going for these days? I have my original 993 RS 3 part speedlines which are currently sat on my 968 Turbo RS project, but have a customer looking for a set of ideally 964 Turbo SpeedLines after seeing my 993RS set, who will probably have to settle for a set of Veloce or RH wheels instead.

Don't put 18in on your car ,it will ruin the handling and it will tram line , I put Veloce wheels on mine, 18in and it was awful , they lasted 2 months , cost me nearly 2k and sold them for £1200

Be warned

So what makes you choose picture 2 (silver) over picture 3 (black) wheels?

I am not smoking anything :)

The contrast of the silver, really sets the bodywork off.

Predictive texting

Thanks for your comments, think I have decided on the Fuch wheels but now I need to decide on colour. Would like to see both on my car but don't think this is going to be possible :(
