Hi all looking for advice on best place to purchase a pair standard height front shock absorbers & springs from (& do I need anything else as there looks to be a bearing in the top mount...) for my 2003 2.7 Boxster?

Am I right in thinking Bilsteins are fitted from the factory?

Any help appreciated

I thought Billies were only the performance option. Standard suppliers I thought were Boge & Sachs.
I'd shop around ECP, GSF, OPC, Berlyn, JMG & Promax I've used in the past. Don't forget if you're a TIPEC member some of these will give a discount. Membership is £50 for 2 years on something like this you could almost save that amount.

Thanks Jim & already a member so will look at your list places giving discount :D

Bilsteins were only a guess as the few places I have looked were listing them for my car.

Also consider talking to Brian at Jasmine Porshalink - may well have good used struts on the shelf or be able to do a friendly price on new parts.

Right quick update Boxster now sorted & sitting on an original Porsche Techquipment kit so new stiffer shocks, springs all round then stiffer front anti roll bar & rear anti roll bar. Oh & 4 new drop links as the old ones were destroyed to get them out & what a bloody nightmare to get out with the steel bolt bonded solid to the alloy hub unit & taking 3 of us wrestling with each corner applying heat & hanging of a 24" power bar & an impact gun on other side (steel & alloy? Not the best idea the Germans have had). Managed to do the rears without having to remove driveshafts etc so that saved some time.....

But all the effort was well worth it as car now handles like a dream :D & should be even better once I get the geometry checked.

Ended up using Design 911 as their prices werent bad but their packaging of products is shocking!!

Thanks for all the advice given

Just about to fit the full m030 kit to my stepdad's Boxster.
It needs top mounts anyway and suspension is 85k old now.

Pair of Std front shocks are 600
Full kit, 4 x shocks, springs and roll bars is 750

Booked in for next month :-)
