Chasing a door rattle.

I've been getting a nasty rattle from the passenger door on my 993. The road surfaces here are terrible and it really bugs me, the driver's door is fine.
Took the card off and nothing obvious, all bolts tight The window lifter looks ok but rattle stops when window is fully down. Any thoughts? Is the widow lifter starting to fail somewhere I can't see?

If the mechanism is anything like similar era VWs then there will be some plastic rollers in there. They tend to get worn and allow the glass to rattle when the window is anywhere from slightly open to not quite fully open. My Corrado suffered from this...

Just a guess :)

The felts in the window channel can get hard allowing the windows to rattle, but there are other things to check, are the windows fully closed when you get the rattle, or half open? Don't forget the cars are all getting on for 20years old now :(
