Save money and change your 986 brake pads yourself

I've never worked on any brake systems in my life, but as my front brake pads needed doing on my 986 and I was concerned some grease monkey would mark my newly refurbed alloys if I took it to a garage, I thought I'd give it a go. What could possibly go wrong?

I found this superb guide on t'internet and it went like a dream.

Total cost including pads and retaining pin kit was around £100 and the wheels are still perfect. :thumbright:

Depends on the car, the Jag has an electronic handbrake so not easy.

But yes generally dead easy.
