Brian is co-ordinating. I'm certainly there on both days. It's a fantastic day/s out, plenty to do - a proper "family" festival as opposed to a car show.

Steam trains, canal boats, beer tent, shows/events throughout, wing-walking, fly pasts........too many to list. Can't wait.

Got my tickets too.

No Red Arrows this year - there are air displays by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane), the Breitling Wing Walkers and the Aerostars aerobatic display.

I hope and pray though that the pilot of the crashed Red Arrows plane in Bournemouth is OK.

I thought i might head up to this rather than PCGB ! Is there a TIPEC parking area - and if so do you need to fill in any particular form etc etc.

I did look at the web site but became confused as to which form to fill in, mind you its Sunday am and I am not at my brigthest !

Hi Clive

There will be a TIPEC area and I will be organising a convoy.

You need to get an application in quick otherwise you will have to pay and it is not cheap

If you have problems suggest you phone organiser (see web site for Shackerstone 2011 and contact numbers on application form

When you have got application in drop me an e-mail so that I can include you on note for the convoy.

Hi

I have organised a convoy for both days

Details are as follows

Meet at Center Gravity at 0830 for a 0845 departure

Location is:

Brindley Close
Holly Lane Industrial Estate
Atherstone
CV9 2GA

If you have sat nav then bring it along as the festival site is difficult to find and also difficult to leave along narrow country lanes

If you are from East Midlands Region then please contact your RO for convoy details specific to your Region.

Your passes cover 2 people and as you only have two passes then it's no shower on Saturday night or Sunday morning if you are going for both days!!

See you near the beer tent
