Hi all, ive just joined site as i test drove a 2001 2.7 boxster and its love at first sight. However on my test drive when breaking hard the pedal feels really wooden and i had to stamp on them to stop quickly. Also the steering feel very heavy at slow speed. The dealer states they are all like this. Can anyone advise please. It has full service history and had a Hartech "gold service" 6 months ago and belt change and new clutch. Mileage 85,000m with porsche service record. Body work is mint. Dealer Stephen James Cars in Lowton nr Warrington asking £9,000
Thankyou

I drive a 2004 3.2S and don't have any such problems. I did test drive a couple of 2.7's also and they were fine. You really need a 2.7 owner to answer, but if you have any doubts I should walk away.

Wooden pedal is normally down to pads, they've either glazed to hell or the cheapest replacements they could find. It may just be down to lack of use. Might be worth pinging Baz a PM on here & asking for his comments if he serviced it.
