An update on spectators - officially they are not allowed so best to book in as a passenger as there is unlikely to be any check later and passengers are only £5

I can get a "few" spectators in but these places will be very strictly limited and if you want one you must drop me a PM with your full name so I can clear you in advance with the circuit. Please don't ask me for one of these if you are a passenger in a car booked on the track day as I would rather keep these limited places for those "in need" so to speak :D

Only a week left to go so if you haven't already booked you don't have much time left!

Is there a plan to meet up somewhere and travel in convoy to Bruntingthorpe or is it just each man for himself?

I'm going down the A5 through Nuneaton as I'm picking Brian up on route - if you know somewhere we could meet up that's fine with me but I suspecy you will use M42/A45?

Just a couple of reminders for Saturday. I know I'm stating the obvious here but just for those who always forget something (like me) here goes:

Make sure that you have checked your tyre pressures

Make sure you have checked your brake pads and fluid

Check your oil and bring some along to top up during the day - you will need it!!

Arrive at Brunty with a full tank of petrol - there is none on site!!

Don't forget arms & legs to be covered and helmets to be worn by all on circuit

See you there :thumbright:

I had my car checked over yesterday at RPM in Glasgow. It has a clean bill of health for Saturday, so I think the only things left to do are empty all extraneous crap from the glove box and boot spaces, get myself down to England, then fill it up again with petrol (assuming there’s some left down there by Friday evening … there may not be up here in Scotland!)

Just got back in one piece......

Had a great day.... weather was brilliant.
The instructor was brilliant but couldn't seem to get the same speed without him in the car!!!!! I want to rent him for the day next time!

Managed to get 1 black flag for spinning out...... sorry if you were one of the cars behind me... black 944 and a black GT3 i think. I just completely messed up one of the corners on the far side and ended up facing the traffic coming towards me..... :D

Even caught some sun.

Nice to meet you all.....

Great day guys.

The first TIPEC National Track Day was a great success. The organisation of the day was very informal and there was plenty of track time for everyone.

A big thank you to Paul B for persisting with it and making it happen. Unfortunately he has been really unlucky with his cars over the last 24 hours.

Some Clubs would not kick a bloke when he is down fortunately we're not one of them.

So here's a caption competition picture.
