I just had an email saying mine were on the way, so they are starting to send them out.

I've only just joined Tipec and would really like to go to the Silvestone Classic event.
I know I'm too late for the bogoff offer but would still like to meet up with the other club members.
Will I still be able to get an infield pass

You can buy normal admission tickets and come and visit us on the club stand. Silverstone stopped selling car club tickets and infield passes on May 31st. So the answer to "Will I still be able to get an infield pass" for your car is "no".
Ok thanks
I've got my tickets so I'll visit the club stand on Sunday

We are in Zone 13, I will post a PDF of the layout in a few days.

They always turn up in the end, Goose and the Team are very efficient to be fair to them

As I said in a previous post, we are in Zone 13 which is located between Luffield and Brooklands.
There are 2 entrances for car clubs Gate 3 & Gate 5 follow the Marshals directions.
Please note that marshals may inadvertently send you to to the PCGB area. Around 1000 Porsches will be there from PCGB as it is their National Event for 2016. We have this problem most years and tbh no one really cares as we finish up with cars mixed up between the Clubs.

Not a problem I experience. Being in a 944 and "riff-raff", I usually get told to go and park elsewhere by the clipboard wielding PGCBites. Only one of the many unsung advantages of owning a 944

I was expecting you to say that as soon as the mixing up but was mentioned.
The PCGB lot do seem to be a little cliquey. especially if you own a 'poor mans Porsche'

Lots of clubs seem cliquey at first, it's quite difficult breaking the ice and taking the plunge. I wish more would, it's the people that make a club. With a brand as old as Porsche with a diverse model range it will create some snobbery and jealousy. The vast majority don't give a toss, in all walks of life you come across the odd pillock.

My tickets arrived yesterday
I'll be another 944 in the infield although it won't be there till Saturday morning as I won't be arriving until Friday afternoon.
I have felt a bit ostracised in the past as a 944 owner. We do tend to be tucked away a bit. Then again my car is not exactly concours! I prefer to spend the money on the mechanicals and enjoy driving it.
I agree about taking the plunge. See you there.

I have felt a bit ostracised in the past as a 944 owner. What in this club!! I don't remember that being the case in the more than ten years I have been a member??

More my fault for not saying hi than anything on so perhaps the wrong word.
I wasn't being specific about TIPEC either.
I've had nothing but welcome and good advice on the forum.
It will be good to put some faces to names.
