but who does that lovely 928 now belong to???
As far as I aware it still beongs to my ex-GF, Lynne Newall, a lecturer at Newcastle Uni.
It had an accident 6 months before the show and had a door torn off.
A new door (2.5K bare) was fitted and the car fully resprayed by then Porsche bodyshop of the year also the wheels were refurbished before the show.

I thought that it was a great display and range of cars on the stand...
Whilst I know it can be controversial - me being a modern car man I feel it shows a broad club appeal by having both Classics and moderns on the stand, so I was personally pleased to see a 997 on the club stand..
I know that many people think that the show should be 'classics only'- learned that last year but I see the show as a shop window to the the club- so appealing to all, at the end of the day classic owners probably drove there in their moderns Porsche's/cars.
Well done to all involved and really good to catch up with so many of you.
I would like to thank the Central Region for putting a great display together. It's a huge commitment agreeing to do the stand at the NEC, it's a long four days for those exhibiting and I have taken today off to relax. I really appreciate the effort guys and please pass on my thanks to your partners and families.
There was a good mix of cars, beautifully turned out and all looked fabulous even under the most unforgiving lights.
I had a really good 3 days, meeting old friends chatting to members and putting faces to names (nice to meet you Mas and your lad).Well done Clive who raised £1600 for Sporting bears by giving passenger rides in his 993 over the 3 days.
To those that joined the club over the weekend a very warm welcome, please try and pitch up at your local Club Night and introduce yourselves to your new mates.

as with adrian above i spent the weekend on the club stand albeit without my car this year so found it a little strange not talking about my car, but i found it great talking to the members and putting faces to names i see/communicate with on here, cars on the stand were very well presented without being too bling and the general public feedback was very good, and as for the early 911

Now fully recovered after the 4 day event and thoroughly enjoyed myself from start to finish. It was good to meet fellow club members and Porsche enthusiasts - a great laugh alround for 4 whole days - what more can you ask for? Thanks to Paul Bird and the organising team for inviting me to display my 993 C4S - It was great to be part of the 'TIPEC Display Team'
We had a wonderful display of Porsche models from across the range - something I'm sure for everyone.
Gents I have to say I had a ball it some times brings you down to earth and makes you realise what you have that you just might take for granted. It was 3 days I will treasure for a long time great to meet some of the guys on a more personal level than the occasional hello and have the crack. From Adrian’s picture my 944 really did shine but then I did wax it about 4 times during the show lol ,. Cheers lads and a big pat on the back to Paul for all his hard work and is daughter for selling all the mags .
