According to info from Turbolook Register there were 125 C16 m491 coupes between 1987 and 1989

The PCGB Porschepost August 2010 magazine has five pages dedicated to 'Supersport statistics uncovered'. The artcle is titled 'Code M491', and Simon Ryder reveals the results of his search into SSE model production numbers. This article tells you all the official facts... much too many to copy onto here.
However here's the bit you want - but first read the writer's quote:
"At last I had an answer and confirmation as to how many. Although not definitive, we are surely extremely close to the actual figures. The database for these wide-bodied cars now exists and in summary contains 74 vehicles".
He gives two lists,
MY 1984 - '89, and
MY 1987 - '89 Official Supersports.
The MY 1987 - '89 Official Supersports list is -
Coupe 21
Targa 14
Cabriolet 18
