To help you find our pitch on the day we are in Block A Pitch 6

We are in the front block close to Gate 3 in front of the track with two other blocks behind.

not a bad pitch at all. forecast isn't great for the weekend, although sunday looks like being marginally better. i am at the fireworks do on the saturday night too, so getting my galoshes and all weather gear ready!

only problem at the moment is the car - which is in the garage at the moment for some work and also a replacement windscreen. hoping i will be able to collect it on friday, in time for the weekend!

I have a 3 day ticket with concert, I will call in tomorrow and see how the land lies.

I am not going to stay all weekend, I might stay for the concert and go home if I am not soaked to the skin by then.

I'll be arriving this evening and should be there all weekend. Eventually you get wet enough to realise sin is waterproof

Up to my axles in mud in the camp site. I'm going nowhere without the aid of a tractor. I doubt you'll see my car on the pitch.

The access into the club area was pretty poor as well. The worry is that very few cars had driven in today and it was on the edge.

Tomorrow will be a different story, leave the Porsche at home would be my advice

Some nice kit was running up the track :bounce:

so do you think it'll be be tricky getting the 944 on the pitch then? how are conditions now? forecast is more rain for tomorrow and I won't be there til Sunday! :-(

I could always come in my other car, my touareg - it is a Porsche in disguise after all!

The ground cut up really bad today with less than 100 cars running over it. Tonight those cars will leave and tomorrow several hundred are expected.

We will put a post up tomorrow to let you know how things are. :)

Update:

I have received an email from a Cheshire/Staffs member who said that getting out was a nightmare and he will not be taking his 928 tomorrow. :|

what a pity. i guess things may change if it gets a chance to dry out a little. but it's unlikely!

how was the preview day?

Not bad to be honest, the actual event is OK. I suspect that a lot of the cars that were expected to run have not turned up because of the weather. The track runs were good with a mix from very early bikes to group B Rally cars.

If we get as much rain as forecast tomorrow, getting in and out could be nigh on impossible :x
