should be no water ingress via the cab roof as long as all the seals around door tops etc are in good condition, the only time I have had a problem is a slight weep after pressure washing around door tops

No water has ever got into the car whilst driving and I have driven in storms where 10mph is going too fast.
With the hard top on it is still noisier than a coupe but about 50% quieter than the canvas

Hi,never had any water in,treated fabric every year with autoglym.Haven't been in coupe to compare but guess there must be a bit more noise, mine's quieter with the soft top,you can sit at motorway speeds & chat quite normally.only problem i had was when one of the microswitches went & had to manually put it up.

Thank you very much for your replies. Highly appreciated...
I'm getting closer to a final decission on the choice of a 996 and must say that a cab seems very interresting now... Think I'll be able to sweet talk the old ball and chain with the facts in place.
My eyes are set on a red exterior, black interior 2000 C4 cab with 118'000 km on the clock with hard top and full service book OR a 2002 Turbo, but think I'll have more fun with the cab
