Boxster Squeak when turning right

Post by Ajp »

Morning, hope someone can give me some help.

I purchased a 2006 2.7 Boxster in September within 30,000 miles on. I first noticed that sometimes when you turn right, not sharply there is a faint squeak it appears to be coming from the right of car. This does not happen when its wet or for about the first 15 minutes of driving when its dry. It only happens when I turn right at a slight angle, never on full lock or when turning left.

I have replaced all 4 discs and pads, I mentioned this to the garage (Independent Porsche Garage), they said they could not find anything and it must have been the old discs and pads that were worn.

Well the squeak is still there, I dont want to take it back to the garage without some idea of what may be wrong.

Also is this normal, when driving very slowly and parking the vehicle when on full lock, the front wheels seems to bump as if they are been pushed over the tarmac, is this simply the angles of the wheels when on full lock?

Any guidance / suggestions / fixes would be appreciated.

Apart from the above, its the best car I have owned and brilliant to drive.

Thank you

No sure about the squeak, but it is normal for the front wheels to 'bump' accross the tarmac when on full lock, so don't worry about this.
