Re: RUST
Nxt step is the front brakes.
After a brake refurb last year is told that the front calipers where in a bad state, corroded so bad the dust seals wont stay in!
I recently got sum 993 fronts, or s4 calipers, from Richy-S.
Ive stripped them and cleaned them and painted them red (8 hours of work and counting) look like new.
All i need is the adapters, and sum bigger discs!
Ill take sum pics as i go.

Re: RUST
All done, massive improvement!
When i brake the world slows
There nothing on your brake set up Andy, but there twice the size of the OE calipers and the discs are allso much larger.
They work at least twice as well, thats IMO double the perfromance of the standard caliper/disc combo.
Pedal feel was lacking (solid/wooden) with the OE, now theres loads of response, graby and strong.
Miles better, fills you with confidence.
Big brakes are the best mod you can do!

Re: RUST
Andy, i cant make the tipec show, going donnington that day.
Brakes are well better but have noticed a tendancy to lock up the wheels.
Ive only driven in the wet, went alltypes vw show on sunday, need to use the car/brakes in the dry!
The ABS has never worked since i got the car, think the ecu is kaputt.
Need to lend a 964 c2 ABS ecu to confirm fault, any 1 up for it?

Re: RUST
Russ, looking good in the pics, sounds like you've almost got too much of a braking system now!,i have got mine set up with a brake bias, allowing better control over pressure to front or rear and which comes on first so to speak,i have got a different pedal set up to standard, and also no servo...not that it makes that much difference except to the pressure needed to push the pedal!,think i might have a couple of pics.

Re: RUST
Russ, you can just about see the adjusting valve in this pic, around the area where the braided pipes come together above the brake pedal,i will try and remember what make the pedal set up is by,.....found it! set up is made by GANTSPEED,DUAL MASTER CYLINDER BIAS PEDAL BOX ASSEMBLY TO SUIT GT2 CALIPERS....no reason why you could'nt have something similar...would help with varying the pressure.
