Just thought I'd let you know about the 2011 show!
Sunday 24th July
Shakespeare County Raceway, Long Marston

This years charity is:
Help For Heros
This to me, is a wellworth charity, and needs more funding, to support out troops on the front line.

I am pretty sure this clashes with the Silverstone Classic ??? Mind you in the 12 weekends of summer we get we are often spoilt for choice.

My understanding is that our taxes pay to support the troops on the front line - not the charity.MonsterMatt wrote: This years charity is:

And before anybody says anything I spent 13 years in the forces, and I still have family serving.

I'm sure it was a Freudian slip. We are all aware that our illustrious government is fully supportive of our troops on the front line (and those serving members not on the front line) by providing them with all the proper equipment and an honourable wage for defending the freedom we hav become accustomed to and that we sometimes take for granted.Tri-Man wrote:My understanding is that our taxes pay to support the troops on the front line - not the charity.MonsterMatt wrote: This years charity is:

Help for Heroes and the Royal British Leigion are both very worthwhile causes, working their proverbial nuts off, raising funds to support our troops when they come back and are de-mobbed as we are also acutely aware that it is then that the same illustrious government tosses them on the garbage heap.
Some of these guys come back with unthinkable physical and mental injuries and want nothing more than to be treated with dignity - something that must be afforded to them. Unfortunately, someone has to pay for it.
