bleeding brakes

hi all, i am going to be changing the flexable brake hoses on my 964 carrera 2 for braided hoses is there a procedure for bleeding the brakes also or there any special tools needed any imput welcome

Before you do anything, check the bleed nipples are not siezed. Unless you buy a kit, it's a 2 man job, so make sure the person pumping the pedal does not push the pedal all the way to floor. This could affect the seals, just pump it as far as the pedal usually goes.

easy peasy

On your own.

Simply push a clear tube over the nipple and open it about one full turn, remove the cap from the master cyling and just let it flow on its own, till the bubbles of air stop., you may need to press the pedal part way down to start it.

Yeh iv just done all my brakes on my 911 and yeh selff bleed is ok which i did when on my own,but then got a friend round while i pressed the pedal he do the nipple work just to double check really.

Also i used ATE Blue Racing Fluid in mine so's i knew when the old fluid was out and new was in .. (Iv still got a 1 litre left for sale on here/ebay if your interested).
