headlight switch wiring diagram for 85 3.2

hi all,

my headlight switch recently caught fire whilst driving home. i very quickly disconnected it before more damage occured and didnt have time to note which wire went where. does anybody know of an online wiring diagram for this? ive tried searching to no avail. i have a new switch on its way a need a little help installing.

Have a look at these, taken from Haynes manual for your vehicle.

Switch No of wires Wire Colour
connection size
K 1 1.0 GR-Grey
K 1 0.5 GR-Grey
57 1 0.5 WS/GN-White/Green
L 1 0.5 GR/SW-Grey/Black
L 1 1.0 GR/SW-Grey/Black
R 1 0.5 GR/RT-Grey/Red
R 1 1.0 GR/RT-Grey/Red
30 1 2.5 RT-Red
56 1 2.5 WS/SW-White/Black
75 1 2.5 RT/WS-Red/White
75 1 1.5 RT/WS-Red/White
58 3 0.5 SW/BL-Black/Blue

PS - the table format is not holding when the message is posted, not sure how to do this, anyway as an example :-

Switch connection = 58
No of wires = 3
Wire size = 0.5
Colour = SW/BL-Black/Blue

Fit relays in the the headlamp circuits when you replace the switch
