Post by Foz »

Hi after some help can any one tell me if i fit my recently acquired flat deck lid for my 3.2 carrera, should there be any protection under the grill to stop water getting on to the engine? As you can see straight through.

Nothing under the grille, no. Good way of blowing your engine if you did block off the air intake, it is "air cooled" after all :bounce:

Hi Foz

No thhere's nothing. The rain will go straight in. Its also a pain when washing the car. Its especially a pain for me as I have ITB's, so I have to block them off when washing the car. But I have to remember to remove them when I take them off.

There's no reason why you couldnt build a tray, but I would want to disrupt te airflow.

They can be, but if you do it regularly you can prevent too much hard work.....
